My husband and I just spent the weekend there in the railway cottage. What a lovely place to stay! Great views, birdlife, peaceful surroundings. The cottage was comfortable and quite snug considering how bad the weather the was. I’d recommend to all our friends.
Travevelled 2828 km from Perth & stayed at this Lovely Rustic caravan site on our way to KI, big van sites, clean & tidy, great friendly staff, looking on to the ocean where you see the ferry come & go to Kangaroo Island- well stocked shop, restaurant – we loved our stay 💚💚
Can’t fault it. Beautiful views from the sites great staff and has a fire pit on most sites. Only downside is they are a bit tall so in a deck chair the heat goes straight up over your head, cut the legs a bit shorter 🙂

My sweetheart and I stayed in a powered site over the new year. The location has an amazing view of the ocean and it was so relaxing just sitting in a chair facing it (and KI!) and reading a book, or taking a nap in the tent… The only negative of the whole experience was the brown rainwater but next time I’ll bring a heap of water with us! The reception is really well equipped with things like fresh eggs, bread, etc too.
Nearby Cape jervis jetty and second valley beach were both stunning and had a great day swimming. Overall this was the best holiday ever so I can’t really give less than 5 stars!
Cape Jervis has it all covered- cabins- powered sites- unpowered camping. Well kept grounds & good facilities – shop stocks supplies- licensed bar for the thirsty
& dining room for the hungry(very good tucker) Bird life is notable (feathered sort) friendly staff make it all too easy.
This was our 5th stay at the station. It’s a perfect base for us as we go there to explore the surrounding coves and coastline that are so amazing. The cottages are family friendly and we get to bring our dog too for a very very minimal fee. The BBQs at the cottages are looking a little worse for wear and could do with an upgrade though. Besides that highly recommended.
